Wisdom is not a product of schooling,
but of the lifelong attempt to aquire it.
Albert Einstein
In a nutshell, we strive to share the expertise and experience of professionals that worked or currently work in BIM, VDC and AEC, in order to better understand the strengths, weaknesses, challenges and opportunities in these industries.
Through this understanding, our interest is to contribute to proposing solutions and to helping improve current standards, processes, workflows, codes, laws and regulations. Our primary focus is Canada and the USA.
We do so through the following formats.
Video podcasts are a series of candid interviews between Tarek Ghazzaoui and guests that tackle different topics in AECO. The interviews are of non-technical nature, so there are no product demonstrations, technical presentations or training.
The podcast episodes are usually more or less 1 hour in length and are released as audio-only and video media on major podcast platforms and social media.
Blog articles are articles written by Tarek Ghazzaoui or guest authors that tackle different topics in AECO. The articles are of non-technical nature, so there are no calculations, technical reports or presentations, however some reference files may be attached.
The articles take usually less than 10 minutes to read and are released on this website and on major social media platforms.
AECO Cartoons™ are satirical cartoons created by Tarek Ghazzaoui that bring to light issues and situations that professionals face in architecture, engineering, construction and operations. The cartoons are based on hypothetical and real scenarios, and provide a unique premise to use colorful, unique and elegant cartoons to convey sarcasm, humor, irony, exaggeration or ridicule. All cartoons published on AECO Cartoons™ are original, personally created by Tarek Ghazzaoui and subject to copyrights.
The cartoons are released on this website and on major social media platforms.
An investment in knowledge

The vision of AECO Careers is to be a prominent platform for industry experts and professionals to share their expertise, experience, opinions and perspectives in the fields of architecture, engineering, construction and operations. What makes AECO Careers unique is its premise to deliver high quality, unbiased and valuable information on topics that are not so often discussed in the world of AECO.
There is no shortage of technical videos, articles and discussions on the internet on AECO, BIM, VDC and similar fields. We are more interested in “bigger picture” and “soft topics” line of thinking, with includes topics such as management, project management, BIM management, leadership, human resources, professional development, laws and regulations, legal, economic development, technological advancement and future trends.

AECO Careers founder
I was fortunate to have had the chance to work on numerous construction projects throughout my career in Canada and the USA.
I founded AECO Careers for the purpose of sparking important conversations and having tough discussions about pressing and upcoming issues in AEC.
This information ought to be useful in shaping new generations of professionals in BIM, VDC and AEC, along with aspiring students in those fields.
